Well then....

I am not going to offer any excuses! I am EXTREMELY embarrassed, however, Jackson is a handful and I don't have time to update my blog because I am always working! He is such a joy to have around! We can't imagine our life without him!! :) He will turn one on December 4! I can't believe it!! He is growing up way too fast!!

He is walking around (much to nana's chagrin) He likes the one cabinet that is NOT child proof! He also likes to get in the kitchen drawers and rip out all of the baggies. lol.

Since I last posted, I have transferred into a different department and will start working part time the second week of December! I am going to a different shift and I am very excited to spend more time with my little "baby."

We are in the process of getting new windows installed into our house. We bought the windows and my brother Randy is installing them in his spare time. He has spare time between working his job, working at the church, being a husband and daddy and delivering pizza! LOL! I don't know how you do it! Thanks Randy! We really appreciate it! :)

I am looking forward to seeing my little pregnant sister Joanne coming next week! We can't wait to see if she is showing. She is doing Great!! She is 14 weeks and has lost 3 pounds! :) Too bad I have to work the day after Thanksgiving!! I am going to miss all of the good sales. (Scott is jumping up and down for joy! LOL!)

Don't hold your breath waiting for my next update!! I do know CPR but it might be a little too late for you by the time I write again!!!!

We've been busy....

Life has been really busy. I am so sorry, I know there is no excuse for me not blogging. With my 3 days a week 12 hour shifts, every free moment I have is used catching up or playing with my fast growing little buddy. I can't believe he is 6 months old now!! He is getting SO big! He doesn't get any attention though! (just joking.... he is Scott's pride and joy not to mention mine as well!!) He has his first tooth and I think he is very proud of it! He babbles a lot and he loves papaw George! He really has brought a lot of joy to my life and if you asked him, Scott would say the same! He is definitely worth all of the times he wakes me up crying, or just wanting to play! He is a little rascal! Of course he gets that from his dad!! :) Here are some pictures to catch you up with this "little" man! ;)

This is Jackson's 6 months photo

Here jackson is getting a bath in Aunt JoJo's sink!

Hello! Don't you know that getting a bath is a private occasion?? DUH!

He loves his Auntie JoJo!

There is a story behind this. I wanted to see what he would do if I gave him a lick of my ice cream cone. As you can see, he loved it! In fact he loved it so much that he cried when I took it away. As soon as I would give it back, he would stop crying and eat it again! :) it was adorable!
MMM mommy this is good!!
I gotta remember what this looks like so you can buy me some more!!
MOMMY give it back to me!! It was really yummy!! :(
Well that is all for now... I will blog again in about 2 months! LOL!

It's Been awhile, I'm So Embarrassed :~)

The World's Most Adorable Baby Boy

Well it has been 2 and a half months since I last blogged.

Each time I think I'll sit down to blog I have something that comes up. Just in case there are blog lurkers out there that don't know what I do for a living, here's what I do.

I'm currently a Registered Nurse at Miami Valley Hospital, it's the only Level One Trauma Center in the Dayton area. I work in Intensive Care as a clinical nurse, three 12 hour days a week. As most nurses know there is a lot of continuing education that has to be done, especially if you work in a specialty unit. Some weeks it seems I have no time to myself because these classes are all in addition to my regular hours of work. Some days I like my job but most of the time I just want to be at home with my baby.

I am also the wife of a wonderful husband, Scott. This past weekend he worked so hard to surprise me, by sanding the walls in our bathroom, an all day job. He also went to Family Christian Bookstore and bought me another Willowtree figurine for Mother's Day and a book called, "Changing the world one diaper at a time." Thanks a bunch Babe. I love you!!

I have the most wonderful privilege to be Jackson Scott's mama. HE has brought so much Joy into our life. He is ham. Let's see, since my last blog update he now weighs around 20 -21 pounds, he wears 12-18 months clothes, and size 4 diapers. For being five and a half months, he is a biggin. I love his chunky little thighs. To bad chunky thighs aren't cute on adults. IE: his mama. Jackson has also learned to sit by himself, of course with a few topples. Just this last week he started babbling, it sounds like he is saying dada and mama. On the day he started doing it, he did it all day long, he just loved hearing himself talk. ( he takes after his dad on that one) hehe.

Scott and I have been attending Financial Peace University, this is Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace Program. It has been eye opening and educational. We have enjoyed it. Tonight at 7:00 we are headed off to the fourth class out of 13.

Well, until the next post have a great day, week, month or 2 months!! HAHAHA
PS: thanks to my sister Amy there are pictures on my blog

It's Been Awhile

Greetings from the Caplinger house. Much has happened since the last time we updated. Man time flies when you have a baby sucking it up. Jackson is now three months old. He is acting so much older than that though. He is sitting in his walker, playing with toys, and constantly loves to stand up. He is such a busy boy.

Attention Ladies

I am sorry that it has been awhile since my last blog. Here is what has been going on in my life for the past month almost.

I have been busy being a momma and trying to be a good wife and doing it all at the same time. I think I am pretty much learning how to balance it all. I am going to post some new pictures of Jackson that I think you all will enjoy. He has grown so much over the last few weeks. On Feburary the 4th, Jackson turned two months old. He went to the doctor for his two month check-up and shots on the 4th. The offical weigh in at the doctors office was 13 pounds and 8 ounces and 24 inches long. All and all he is in the 90% for height and weight.

Feburary 5th was my first day back to work. I thought I was going to lose my mind. But the day ending up being okay. I did all my crying the night before. When I got home from work Jackson was full of smiles for me. Oh, I love him to pieces. Which leads me to my next bragging session.

On the 6th I called to ask Scott how his day was going. He told me to call the hospitals shipping/receiving department because of a package that was there. I called down and they finally located what was sent. I went down and picked up the package pictured below.

Inside the package was a beautiful arrangment of flowers. Tulips and irises filled the ruby red vase. Not all of the flowers have bloomed quite yet though. Upon futher examining of the flowers I noticed a little card. Here is the card and what it said.

I am sorry about the poor quality of the copy so I will type out what it said.
"Mommy,
I just wanted to say thank you for all you do for me. I can't wait til we can spend tomorrow together. I know you didn't want to leave but I understand and love you even that much more.
-Love, Jackson"
I just love my men in my life. My husband Scott and my little boy Jackson Scott.

Whooops I forgot I had a blog

How come nobody warned me about the busy life of mamahood!!

Yesterday I took Jackson to see Scott at his work. Everybody thought he was adorable. Everyone kept asking how much he weighed so we weighed him on the UPS scales he weighed 12.5 pounds with his clothes on, so minus his clothes we figure he weighs 12 pounds already at 5 1/2 weeks of age.

While pregnant with Jackson I gained a whopping 45 pounds. At present I have lost thirty pounds and am working diligently to lose the rest. (But I think she looks great even now, Scott) I am currently walking with a friend from church who also just had a baby. We are walking three days a week at the local mall. It has been a good time to get to know her and a great time to exercise.

Here are some pictures of our adorable baby boy because no one checks for updates but only pictures of our son. ha ha ha ;)
