Boy has this been a busy 2 weeks or what. Between Christmas program practices and Chistmas programs, and 2 different families to celebrate Christmas with.

Scott and I were blessed with the best Christmas present ever when God gave us Jackson Scott. He is the love of our lives. He is such a aweet baby. Lately Jackson does not like to sleep at night. His poor mama is so tired, but his daddy is a great help when mama is at the end of her rope.

I hope everyone has had a blessed Christmas, and have a blessed and properous new year.

Here are some much awaited pictures of Jackson.

The first week

Sorry it has been a while since we last posted. But all of you mama's out there understand how busy you can get with a new baby. Speaking of new baby, I have the world's cutest baby. Every day I look at him and think God makes all things fearfully and wonderfully. When Jackson was first born I looked him and started crying. I was crying because I was afraid I couldn't and didn't now how to be a mama. It is truly amazing how God makes us women to have that nature just instilled in us.

Jackson is now 11 days old, man how time flies, it seems like yesterday I was telling Scott that I was expecting our first baby. I have off work until the beginning of February, thank goodness. I can't stand the thought of having to leave him and going back to work. My mom keeps telling me that I need to count my blessings as far as having a beautiful healthy baby, and a good job and Husband and not to dwell on the thought of going back to work. Boy I'm thankful for a mom who always has good advice.

The past week and a half have been busy. The Friday after we were discharged from the hospital Jackson had his first Doctors visit, mainly a weight check. Jackson's weight dropped to 8 pounds 8 ounces. We then went back on the following Tuesday and he weighed 8 lbs 11 oz, and I have to take him this coming Tuesday for another weight check. My feeling is he is gaining weight fine, according to how much he nurses. A special thanks to my Mom and Dad for all they have done to keep me sane during that last bit of pregnancy, and for the first week after Jackson's birth. I couldn't have made it without out you. Oh, and also my Dear Husband needs a huge thanks for putting up with miserable, hot, grumpy pregnant wife. He was so understanding. Love ya Babe.

Here are some long awaited pictures of our adorable bundle of Joy!!!

Merry Christmas,

Scott, Suzanne and Jackson

The beginning of a new life

Hello everyone. Suzanne has asked that we start a blog to keep evereyone in formed on the daily changes with Jackson. Lets start with the basics though. December 4th at 3:51 a.m. our lives changed for the better. At that moment God gave us the second greatest gift of all time, our son Jackson Scott Caplinger. We tried to prepare ourselves for that moment but it all failed to do the job. Since that moment we have seen such a change in him. Whenever we hold him in our arms or in our sight a sense of overwhelming joy floods both of us. At the same time though we have come to realize that we serve am Awesome God. I never fully understood the love of God til now. I still remember looking at him when I first prayed with him in my arms. He looked at such peace. Everytime I mentioned his name he would open his big blue eyes. By the end of the time of prayer he was sound asleep. It struck me then that is how we should be when we leave the place of prayer at complete peace no matter what. I have learned that a child is s great way of seeing spiritual things a fresh and a new.
I know that I have rambled on but how can you stop the feelings that you have? I hope that this blog will keep all of our family, that also includes all of our friends for you are our family, in the know about the process of our family growing.
Love always and God bless you,
The Caplingers.

P.S. Please dont hold any mistakes against us has we start this blog. Any suggestions are welcome though.;)
